We were offered a super room in a tropical garden, everything was great. Its location was beautiful, near Central Kalimantan, Rumah Betang or Big House, and the center of a residential neighborhood. - It also was close to Sebangau park. Rewritten: The guesthouse provided us with a fantastic room surrounded by lush tropical gardens, and we had a wonderful experience. Situated in a picturesque location near Central Kalimantan, Rumah Betang, and a cozy residential area, it was also conveniently close to Sebangau Park.

The Deluxe Double Room with Balcony at Bukit Raya Guesthouse is pure bliss! It's spacious, cozy, and has a lovely private bathroom with a traditional Indonesian "mandi" and a hot and cold water shower. As a solo traveler, I felt like I was in my own little paradise.
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the cold water in the traditional Indonesian "mandi" in the private bathroom. But hey, that's just my preference.

From the minute I arrived at Bukit Raya Guesthouse, I felt like family. Beatrice and Thomas went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. Jonathan, the guide they recommended, provided an amazing mountain biking tour. I felt safe and packed so much into one day. The food, especially the homemade bread and muesli, was lovely. The guesthouse felt like a giant tree house, giving a real feeling of being in the 'Borneo jungle' while also in the city center. The hosts and staff were the best any backpacker could ask for, organizing tours and providing helpful assistance. The pool and treehouse were standout features, adding to the unique experience.
I felt super comfortable at Bukit Raya Guesthouse, with no complaints whatsoever.
